Content Marketing Manager


The Content Marketing Manager works with ICBA teams, departments and subsidiaries to conceptualize, build and deliver bold, effective marketing content and materials. This is a hands-on position that requires both content development as well as project management skills to create marketing resources that will ultimately benefit and enrich the membership of the ICBA. The Content Marketing Manager actively participates in assigned projects and collaborates with others within the department and organization for maximum results.

Duties & Responsibilities

Creativity & Strategy: Proactively develops new approaches and ideas to fulfill the strategic plans and goals of the enterprise/department. Infuses creative ideas and strategies into planning and brainstorming sessions.

Engagement: Captures and generates ideas for creating and implementing impactful marketing campaigns, ads and materials.

  • Collaboration: Collaborates with the VP Marketing/ Creative Director, and other marketing staff, to develop superior marketing initiatives that keep the organization successfully engaged with its members and proactively ahead of its competitors.
  • Drive to Digital: Find opportunities and coordinate efforts to boost engagement, visibility, site traffic and SEO. Assess progress and grow ICBA member engagement while optimizing ICBA’s digital outreach.

Marketing Objectives: Successfully develops and delivers effective marketing that adheres to organizational standards and principles. 

  • Impact: Support marketing staff in assessing the impact of marketing campaigns by maximizing ICBA’s research and data mining capabilities and gain insight into target audiences.
  • Analytics: Utilizes approved marketing measurement tools to provide reliable analytics and effectiveness reports to identify trends to help the organization better deliver materials to promote and market association services and programs.


  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree, preferably in Marketing, Journalism or Business Administration.
  • 5+ years of marketing experience.
  • 3+ years content writing for web.
  • Occasional travel as requested.
  • Experience in association and/or financial services industry helpful but not required
  • Advertisement/marketing agency experiences a huge plus.

  • Passionate for brand, marketing, communications and writing.
  • Demonstrated talent for abstract thinking, spotting trends and patterns, has an innate curiosity, an instinct for popular culture, and a nuanced understanding of creative work.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills. Effectively works as a member of the marketing team while providing positive leadership and support to the organization.
  • Impeccable spelling and grammar.
  • Knowledge of AP writing style.
  • Knowledge of applying content to various channels: ads, social, web, publications.
  • Ability to take initiative, manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Expertise in emerging media and technology.
  • Familiarity with marketing analytics and measurement tools. Savvy SEO best practices.
  • Superior writing, editing, organizational and communication skills required.
  • Knowledge of the print/publication process from design through delivery.
  • Superior knowledge of Microsoft Office suite; especially Word, Outlook & PowerPoint.
